Cookies & analytics

What Vekrin stores in your browser, and how to turn off usage analytics.

Last updated 2026-09-02 · version 2026-09-02.1

Vekrin uses very little browser storage, and none of it is for advertising. Some of it is necessary for the product to work at all; the rest you can switch off.

Strictly necessary

  • Sign-in session — your authentication session is held in browser storage by our authentication provider so you stay signed in. Without it you cannot use the product.
  • Security and routing — short-lived values used during sign-in, password reset and connecting a mailbox.

Preferences

  • Language for signed-out visitors, so the public site opens in the language you chose.
  • Small interface state, such as a prompt you dismissed or a tip you have already seen.
  • Your usage-analytics choice, stored so it is remembered on this device.

Installing Vekrin

If you install Vekrin to your home screen, your browser keeps the app files it needs to open. That is your browser's own storage and holds no household content beyond what is needed to run the app.

Usage analytics

Vekrin uses limited first-party statistics to see which parts of the product are useful and where people run into difficulty. A random session identifier is kept for the tab session so a single visit is not counted several times. Only fixed event names and enumerated values are recorded — never your belongings, documents, money or household details, and never anything for advertising.

Session-level rows are aggregated into daily, non-identifying statistics and then deleted, with a target of 7 days.

You can turn this off below, or in Settings → Legal & privacy when signed in. Your choice is remembered on this device.

Your choice

Use the switch on this page to allow or refuse usage analytics. Necessary storage cannot be switched off, because sign-in would stop working.

Limited first-party statistics about which parts of Vekrin are used, so we can improve them. No household, document or financial content, and never used for advertising.

Usage analytics are on.
