Product guide

How Vekrin works

Vekrin brings the important records around your household together — possessions, wardrobe, jewellery, vehicles, receipts, documents, bills, warranties and spending — then connects them so they are easier to organise, understand and retrieve when you need them.

Explore Vekrin

Start with your household, then add the things Vekrin should understand: possessions, clothing and jewellery, vehicles, documents, receipts, bills and warranties. Each card opens that guide section.

What this does

Creating a Vekrin account gives your household records somewhere to live. You sign up once, then everything you add belongs to a home you own or have been invited to.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Vekrin and choose Sign up.
  2. 2Enter your email and a password, or choose Continue with Google or Continue with Amazon.
  3. 3Confirm your email address if you signed up with a password.
  4. 4Enter your first and last name when asked.
  5. 5Continue into the short onboarding.
  6. 6Create your first home, or accept an invitation to an existing one.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin creates your account, signs you in and takes you straight to onboarding. If you were invited to a home, Vekrin links your account to that home instead of asking you to create one.

Check

Check the email address before submitting. Confirmation links expire, so if nothing arrives within a few minutes, check spam and use Resend confirmation email. Continue with Amazon signs you in only — Vekrin receives no Amazon orders, purchases, delivery addresses or payment details.

What happens next

After onboarding you arrive at the Home dashboard for the home you just created or joined.

Topic 2 of 28

Create your home

What this does

A home is the private container for its possessions, receipts, documents, warranties, bills, spending and vehicles. You can create and switch between multiple homes without mixing their records.

How to use it

  1. 1In onboarding, enter a name for the home.
  2. 2Choose your country or region.
  3. 3Choose your currency.
  4. 4Choose your language.
  5. 5Select Create my home.
  6. 6To add another home later, open the home selector at the top of the dashboard.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin applies that home's language, region, currency, timezone, rooms and categories to its records. Membership and permissions are scoped to that home.

Check

Owners can rename, archive, restore or permanently delete a home; deletion requires typing its exact name. Non-owners can leave, but an owner cannot leave the home they own. Archive first when you may need it later.

Tip

If you look after a second property, create it as a separate home rather than mixing rooms together.

What happens next

You land on Quick Start and then the Home dashboard. Everything you add is filed under the home shown in the selector.

Home dashboard

What this does

The dashboard is the screen you land on. It summarises the selected home and gives you the fastest route to the things you use most.

How to use it

  1. 1Use the home selector to confirm you are in the right home.
  2. 2Read the summary tiles for a quick view of what is recorded.
  3. 3Open anything that is marked as needing attention.
  4. 4Use a quick action to add or open a record.
  5. 5Use the bottom navigation to move between areas.

Real Vekrin screen

On this screen

  1. 1Home selector — switch between the homes you own or belong to.
  2. 2Notifications — reminders and updates that need a look.
  3. 3Search — find inventory items and vehicles in this home.
  4. 4Home summary — what is recorded, protected and outstanding, including warranties expiring, bills due, an inspection due, a vehicle insurance renewal or an overdue service.
  5. 5Quick actions — shortcuts to the actions you use most.
  6. 6Bottom navigation — Home, Inventory, Add, Bills, More.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin recalculates the summary from the records in the selected home each time you open it.

Check

If the numbers look wrong, check the home selector first — you may be looking at a different home.

What happens next

From here, the usual next step is adding your first possession or scanning a receipt.

Topic 4 of 28

Add menu

What this does

The blue + Add button opens the actions available to your role, plan and account. It is the quickest way to capture a household record.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap the blue + Add button.
  2. 2Choose the type of record you want to create.
  3. 3Fill in the form that opens.
  4. 4Save. The record is filed in the current home.

On this screen

  1. 1Add item — record a possession by hand.
  2. 2Scan receipt — photograph or upload a receipt for review.
  3. 3Room Scan beta — capture a room and review proposed items before saving, where available.
  4. 4Add bill or document — keep commitments and paperwork organised.
  5. 5Wardrobe or Jewellery Box — add a piece directly to a focused collection.
  6. 6Add vehicle or warranty — start a Garage record or record cover.
  7. 7Quick Start — return to the short activation checklist.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin opens the matching flow in the current home. The menu can include Add item, Scan receipt, Room Scan beta, Add bill, Add document, Wardrobe, Jewellery Box, Add vehicle, Add warranty and Quick Start when each action is available to you.

Check

The menu is permission-filtered, so viewers cannot see editing actions. Room Scan appears only to accounts in its limited beta. Scan a receipt when you have one so Vekrin can preserve and extract the evidence.

What happens next

The new record opens so you can add photos, values or links straight away.

Topic 5 of 28

Add an item

What this does

An item is one possession. The more detail an item carries, the more useful it is later for finding, valuing and proving ownership.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap + Add, then Add item.
  2. 2Enter the item name.
  3. 3Choose the room it lives in.
  4. 4Choose a category.
  5. 5Enter what you paid, if you know it.
  6. 6Add serial and model details where you have them.
  7. 7Add photos of the item.
  8. 8Save.

On this screen

  1. 1Item name and description.
  2. 2Room and category.
  3. 3Recorded values — what you paid and, where supported, replacement value.
  4. 4Serial and model information.
  5. 5Photos.
  6. 6Linked receipt, documents and warranty.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin files the item in the current home and makes it searchable. Values can be recorded as price paid, an owner estimate or a professional valuation. Eligible well-identified items may also receive a Vekrin replacement estimate suggestion to review.

Check

Check the source as well as the figure. Purchase and professional values keep their evidence or report provenance; owner estimates are your own figures. Vekrin estimates show their status and confidence, never replace stronger values, and are not professional valuations or guarantees. Clothing and specialist categories are excluded from automatic estimates.

Tip

Start with your most valuable or most frequently used possessions rather than trying to record everything at once.

What happens next

Open the item to link its receipt, documents and warranty. If an eligible replacement estimate is offered, confirm or reject it; Vekrin does not silently treat a suggestion as your chosen value.

Scan a receipt

What this does

Scanning a receipt lets Vekrin read the printed details instead of you typing them. It works with a photo of a paper receipt or an existing image or PDF.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap the blue + Add button.
  2. 2Tap Scan receipt.
  3. 3Take a photo, or choose an existing file.
  4. 4Keep the whole receipt in frame, including the totals at the bottom.
  5. 5Wait while Vekrin reads it.
  6. 6Continue to the review screen.

On this screen

  1. 1Take photo — use the camera for paper receipts.
  2. 2Choose file — upload a photo or PDF you already have.
  3. 3Processing status — shows how far the scan has got.
  4. 4Retry — available if a scan fails.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin uploads the file, then extracts the merchant, date, totals, tax lines and individual line items for you to review.

Check

Processing normally takes a few seconds. If it fails, the scan stays in your list so you can retry it rather than starting again.

Check

If the same receipt is uploaded twice, Vekrin points you at the existing scan instead of creating a duplicate.

What happens next

You are taken to the review screen. Nothing is saved to your home until you confirm it there.

Review receipt results

What this does

The review screen shows everything Vekrin read from the receipt, field by field, before anything is saved.

How to use it

  1. 1Check the merchant name and purchase date.
  2. 2Check the totals against the printed receipt.
  3. 3Open the line items and check the products.
  4. 4Correct any field that looks wrong by tapping it.
  5. 5Use Preview to compare against the original image.
  6. 6Save the receipt.

On this screen

  1. 1Merchant and date.
  2. 2Totals — subtotal, tax and receipt total.
  3. 3Confidence indicator on each detected field.
  4. 4Line items detected on the receipt.
  5. 5Preview of the original receipt image.
  6. 6Save, once you have checked the values.

What Vekrin does

Each field carries a confidence indicator showing how sure Vekrin is about what it read. Low confidence fields are worth checking first.

Check

Vekrin never silently rewrites printed values. If the numbers do not add up it shows a reconciliation panel: items total, subtotal, tax, calculated total, receipt total and the difference — including where that difference looks like a saving or an overpayment. Review it, then decide.

Check

A totals mismatch is a prompt to look, not an error. Discounts, deposits and rounding all produce legitimate differences.

What happens next

The saved receipt appears in your records and can be linked to an item.

Room Scan (internal beta)

What this does

Room Scan helps selected beta accounts turn a room walkthrough into proposed inventory items. It is an internal beta with limited availability, not a feature every account can open yet.

How to use it

  1. 1Open + Add and choose Room Scan if it is available to your account.
  2. 2Choose a room in the current home.
  3. 3Capture up to five clear photos, or use the supported live/video capture.
  4. 4Let Vekrin analyse what is visible.
  5. 5Review every proposal: ignore it, match it to an existing item or create a new item.
  6. 6Confirm the final review to save your decisions.

On this screen

  1. 1Choose the room before capture.
  2. 2Capture up to five useful views.
  3. 3Analysis creates proposals, not records.
  4. 4Review ignore, match or create decisions.
  5. 5Only final confirmation writes to Inventory.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin prepares proposals for review. No inventory record is written during capture or analysis; records are committed only after the final confirmation.

Check

Check names, room, category and matches carefully. A room image may contain partial, repeated or unidentifiable objects. Camera and microphone access stop when you leave or close the scan.

Check

Internal beta, limited availability: the entry point and server both require an approved beta or admin account.

What happens next

Confirmed new items appear in Inventory; matched proposals connect to the existing records and ignored proposals are not saved.
28

Topic 10 of 28

Documents

What this does

Documents is where household paperwork lives: manuals, policies, invoices, proof of purchase and warranty documents.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap + Add, then Add document.
  2. 2Choose the file to upload.
  3. 3Give it a clear name.
  4. 4Link it to the relevant item where supported.
  5. 5Save.
  6. 6Open a document any time to preview it.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin stores the original file in the current home and generates a preview where supported. Documents can be linked to items, warranties, bills or vehicles so evidence remains with the record it supports.

Check

Check the home and links before saving. Permanent deletion removes the file and cannot be undone; do not delete evidence you may still need.

Example

Typical documents: an appliance manual, a home insurance policy, proof of purchase, a manufacturer's warranty certificate, an inspection certificate, vehicle insurance, a finance agreement and a service or repair invoice.

What happens next

Linked documents appear on the item they belong to, alongside its receipt and warranty.

Screenshot pending

Screenshot pending: the Documents list and preview screens are not in the approved screenshot library yet.

Topic 11 of 28

Warranties

What this does

A warranty records what is still covered on an item, and when that cover ends.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap + Add, then Add warranty.
  2. 2Choose the item it belongs to.
  3. 3Enter the start date.
  4. 4Enter the end date.
  5. 5Attach the supporting document if you have one.
  6. 6Save.

On this screen

  1. 1Warranty list with each item's cover.
  2. 2Status — active, expiring soon or expired.
  3. 3End date.
  4. 4The item the cover belongs to.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin shows each warranty with its status, and can remind you as an expiry date approaches.

Check

Cover often starts on the purchase date rather than the delivery date. Use the date printed on the receipt where they differ.

Example

Vehicle-linked warranties can include the vehicle warranty itself, a repair warranty, a battery warranty, a tyre warranty or a motorhome appliance warranty — all using the same warranty records.

What happens next

The warranty appears on the item and in the warranties list, and its status is included in the Insurance Pack context.
28

Topic 12 of 28

Bills

What this does

Bills is for household commitments and account history: what is due, scheduled, partially paid, paid, overdue or cancelled. Spending answers a different question — what the household has actually spent.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap + Add, then Add bill.
  2. 2Enter what the bill is for and the amount.
  3. 3Set the due date.
  4. 4Set the status.
  5. 5Attach the bill document if you have it.
  6. 6Save.
  7. 7Open Bills from the bottom navigation to see them all.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin keeps supplier accounts and their payment records together, supports one-off and recurring commitments, and can attach source documents. Confirmed payment events can contribute to Spending without counting the same money twice.

Check

A due bill is not automatically money already spent. Check payment status, amount paid and any schedule. Unconfirmed reconciliation rows stay out of Spending totals.

Example

A monthly energy account can hold its invoices and due dates in Bills. Each confirmed paid instalment is an economic event in Spending; the annual commitment is not counted again.

What happens next

Outstanding commitments remain in Bills and reminders; paid activity appears in Spending when it qualifies.
28

Topic 13 of 28

Spending

What this does

Spending brings together economic events from saved receipt purchases, confirmed bill payments, linked vehicle costs and household financial adjustments. Bills remains the place for commitments and due dates.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Spending for the current home.
  2. 2Choose a period: this week, 30 days, month, year or all time.
  3. 3Filter by category, merchant, vehicle, member or household.
  4. 4Review uncategorised or unassigned purchases.
  5. 5Correct a category, merchant or allocation where needed.
  6. 6Export the view when you need a copy.

What Vekrin does

Receipt purchases sync idempotently, so saving or revisiting a receipt does not duplicate spend. Linked vehicle costs and confirmed bill payments are deduplicated as the same economic event where they refer to the same money. Household-currency and foreign-currency totals remain separate rather than using invented conversion rates.

Check

Review queues contain purchases you can actually correct. Unconfirmed reconciliation rows do not enter totals. A scheduled or unpaid bill stays in Bills and is not presented as paid spending.

Tip

Use the vehicle filter to understand recorded ownership costs without mixing them with unrelated household purchases.

What happens next

Corrections update the household view and help category, merchant, member and vehicle breakdowns remain useful.
28

Topic 14 of 28

Connected Inbox

What this does

Connected Inbox can scan a separately connected Gmail mailbox for likely invoices and receipts, then puts candidates in front of you. Google sign-in alone proves identity and does not grant mailbox access.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Connected Inbox and choose Connect Gmail.
  2. 2Read the consent screen and grant separate read-only Gmail access.
  3. 3Start a manual scan when you want Vekrin to look for likely messages.
  4. 4Choose Read with AI for a candidate, or Ignore it.
  5. 5Review the extracted supplier, amount, dates, status and document.
  6. 6Dismiss it, restore it later, or confirm Add to Bills.
  7. 7Reconnect if Google access expires, or disconnect the mailbox in Settings.

What Vekrin does

Only messages selected for Read with AI enter invoice extraction. Confirming Add to Bills creates or reuses the supplier bill account and records the invoice or payment details, with the imported source document linked as evidence where available. Duplicate candidates are flagged. Manual invoice uploads use the same review-first extraction path.

Check

The Gmail permission is read-only, but mailbox content is sensitive. Review every candidate before filing. Outlook is not currently available, and Amazon sign-in does not import orders or purchases.

Why this matters

Identity sign-in and mailbox consent are separate: connecting with Google or Amazon does not silently connect an inbox.

What happens next

A confirmed candidate appears in Bills with its linked payment and document context; ignored or dismissed candidates do not become bills.
28

Topic 15 of 28

Reminders

What this does

Reminders surface dates already recorded for bills, scheduled bill payments, warranties and vehicle maintenance.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Settings, then Reminders.
  2. 2Choose whether in-app reminders are enabled.
  3. 3Choose bill and warranty reminder preferences.
  4. 4Keep due dates and vehicle maintenance dates current.
  5. 5Open the notification area to review what is approaching, due, overdue or missed.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin creates in-app attention states around supported dates, including advance windows, the due day and overdue or missed states.

Check

Push and email reminder delivery are not currently available. A reminder depends on the date and status in the underlying record, so correct the record if the reminder is wrong.

What happens next

Opening a reminder takes you back to the household record that needs attention.
28

Topic 16 of 28

Inventory

What this does

Inventory is the full directory of possessions in the current home. Rooms, categories, search, filters and archive controls help you find and maintain the same records used by Wardrobe, Jewellery Box, exports and Intelligence.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Inventory from the bottom navigation.
  2. 2Filter by room or category to narrow the list.
  3. 3Tap an item to open its record.
  4. 4Review its photos, values and serial details.
  5. 5Check the linked receipt, documents and warranty.
  6. 6Edit or archive the item from its record.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin keeps one item record in step across the product. Items created manually, from reviewed receipts or from confirmed Room Scan proposals appear here without creating parallel copies.

Check

Archiving keeps an item's history without showing it in the active list. Deleting removes it and its links permanently.

Example

Typical example: you buy a TV, scan the receipt, create or link the TV item, add a photo, record the warranty, and the evidence stays together from then on.

What happens next

A complete inventory is what the Insurance Pack is built from.
28

Topic 17 of 28

Wardrobe

What this does

Wardrobe is a specialised view of your Inventory for what your household wears: clothing, footwear, coats and jackets, bags and handbags, accessories and sunglasses. Each piece stays one ordinary possession record — there is no separate Wardrobe database.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Wardrobe from Inventory or the navigation.
  2. 2Add an item, or open an existing possession and file it under Wardrobe.
  3. 3Add photos so the piece is recognisable.
  4. 4Record the details that matter: type, size, colour, material and season.
  5. 5Link the receipt or document that proves the purchase.
  6. 6Use Find from receipts to review pieces Vekrin spotted on receipts you already scanned.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin keeps wardrobe pieces in the same household record as everything else, so a receipt, a photo or a warranty added anywhere in Vekrin stays attached to the same item.

Check

Find from receipts only proposes items. Nothing is added to your Wardrobe until you confirm it, and confirming reuses the existing purchase and receipt rather than creating a copy.

Tip

Items can come from manual entry, receipts, uploaded evidence, existing Inventory records, or AI-assisted photo identification where it is available — and every AI suggestion is reviewed by you first.

Example

Typical example: you scan a supermarket receipt, Vekrin proposes the jacket line for review, you accept it, and the jacket becomes one Wardrobe item with its price and original receipt already linked.

What happens next

Free covers up to 25 Wardrobe items. Vekrin Home removes the collection cap within your normal Home inventory allowance and adds the intelligence layer — totals, evidence completeness and missing-evidence warnings.

Screenshot pending

Screenshot pending: no approved Wardrobe product screen is available in the guide library yet.

28

Topic 18 of 28

Jewellery Box

What this does

Jewellery Box is a specialised view of your Inventory for watches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, chains, pendants and other valuable wearable pieces. As with Wardrobe, each piece is a normal possession record shown in a focused view.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Jewellery Box from Inventory or the navigation.
  2. 2Add a piece, or file an existing possession under Jewellery Box.
  3. 3Photograph it clearly, including any markings.
  4. 4Record the reference or serial number where there is one.
  5. 5Link the purchase receipt, certificate, valuation and warranty.
  6. 6Review the pieces with missing evidence and fill the gaps.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin gathers the ownership evidence for each piece in one place: purchase receipt, photos, serial or reference, warranty, certificate, valuation and any linked documents.

Check

Vekrin records what you provide. It does not authenticate a piece, does not value it for you, does not track current market prices and does not provide insurance cover.

Tip

A valuation only stays useful while it is recent. Vekrin Home flags pieces whose recorded valuation is getting old so you know what to refresh.

Example

Typical example: a watch with its shop receipt, box photos, reference number, service warranty and a valuation letter — all attached to one record you can export as evidence.

What happens next

Free covers up to 5 Jewellery Box pieces. Vekrin Home works within your normal Home inventory allowance and adds recorded-value totals, evidence completeness, high-value item intelligence and valuation-age warnings, according to your plan.

Screenshot pending

Screenshot pending: no approved Jewellery Box product screen is available in the guide library yet.

Topic 19 of 28

Garage

What this does

Garage organises cars, motorbikes, motorhomes, campervans, caravans, trailers, vans and other household vehicles with their dates, costs and evidence.

How to use it

  1. 1Tap + Add, then Add vehicle.
  2. 2Enter what it is — type, make, model and registration.
  3. 3Add photos so the vehicle is recognisable.
  4. 4Record the dates that matter: inspection, tax, insurance and finance.
  5. 5Link the documents, receipts, bills and warranties that belong to it.
  6. 6Add servicing and repairs as they happen.

Real Vekrin screen

On this screen

  1. 1Garage list — each household vehicle and its next attention date.
  2. 2Vehicle header — identity, registration and mileage.
  3. 3Due dates — inspection, tax, insurance, service and applicable checks.
  4. 4History and costs — servicing, repairs and linked evidence.
  5. 5Vehicle Record — a separate vehicle-specific export.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin connects inspection, tax, insurance, finance, service, repairs, tyres, batteries, parts and applicable habitation, gas or electrical checks to the vehicle. Supported vehicle documents can be scanned and reviewed before extracted facts are saved.

Check

Vekrin organises the records you add or connect. It does not check live inspection, insurance, finance or market value, and it does not track location.

Tip

Motorhomes can combine vehicle records with household-style equipment, documents and inventory — mechanical service, habitation service, leisure battery, fridge warranty and the TV as an inventory item — without creating a separate system.

Example

One record can help another make sense. A repair invoice linked to your Audi A6 appears in Documents, appears in the vehicle's history, contributes to vehicle costs where payment evidence exists, and can be found by Vekrin Assistant.

What the pack contains

A vehicle can gather: insurance, finance, inspection, road tax, servicing, repair invoices, receipts, warranties and reminders.

What happens next

Keep the record current, then create its separate Vehicle Record export when needed. The export can include identity, mileage, history, due dates, canonical insurance, components, visible costs and optional evidence, subject to plan access.

Topic 20 of 28

Insurance Pack

What this does

The Insurance Inventory Pack turns recorded household evidence into an organised PDF. Choose Household Inventory, Wardrobe or Jewellery Box as the scope; Garage vehicles use their own Vehicle Record export.

How to use it

  1. 1Add the possessions you want included.
  2. 2Add photos to each one.
  3. 3Link receipts and other evidence.
  4. 4Record values.
  5. 5Attach supporting documents.
  6. 6Review anything flagged as missing evidence.
  7. 7Open Insurance Pack.
  8. 8Confirm the home it should cover.
  9. 9Generate and export the pack.
  10. 10Open the PDF and review it before sending it anywhere.
The cover page of a Vekrin Insurance Inventory Pack.
A room summary page from a Vekrin Insurance Inventory Pack.
An item detail page from a Vekrin Insurance Inventory Pack.
A photo evidence page from a Vekrin Insurance Inventory Pack.

What Vekrin does

The Pack always includes available source evidence for its selected scope, with photos, linked receipts, warranties and documents. Vekrin builds it from recorded facts and never invents missing values or evidence.

Check

Read the PDF before sharing. If price visibility is hidden for a member, monetary fields are omitted from exports rather than exposed or replaced with blanks.

What the pack contains

Depending on scope and available records: cover and summary pages, room or collection groupings, item details, photos, recorded values, warranties, linked documents and source proof.

What happens next

The exported PDF is yours to keep or share.

Vekrin helps organise household information and evidence. It is not insurance advice, and requirements vary by insurer and policy.

Topic 21 of 28

Household members

What this does

You can share a home with the people who live in it or look after it, and choose how much each person can do.

How to use it

  1. 1Open the household members area for the home.
  2. 2Choose Invite.
  3. 3Enter the person's email address.
  4. 4Choose their access level.
  5. 5Send the invitation.
  6. 6They accept from their email and join that home.

On this screen

  1. 1Owner — manages records, settings, members and the home lifecycle.
  2. 2Adult — can maintain inventory, documents, bills and spending.
  3. 3Viewer — can look without changing records.
  4. 4Price privacy — owners can hide monetary values from members.

What Vekrin does

Access applies to one home only. Owners manage the home and membership; adults can maintain records; viewers are read-only. Owners may also hide prices from non-owner members, which carries through to views and exports.

Check

Give viewer access when someone only needs to look. Only owners manage invitations and home settings. Removing or leaving one home does not expose or change another home.

What happens next

New members see the same home dashboard you do, limited by their access level.

Vekrin Assistant

What this does

The Assistant answers questions about the home you are currently in, using the records that home holds, and can carry out selected updates to those records after you confirm them. It is not a general web chatbot.

How to use it

  1. 1Open the Assistant from the Ask launcher.
  2. 2Type a question in your own words.
  3. 3Read the answer and the records it refers to.
  4. 4Open a referenced record to check it yourself.
  5. 5Ask a follow-up if you need more detail.

Example questions

  1. 1When does my TV warranty expire?
  2. 2What did I pay for the washing machine?
  3. 3When is my Audi inspection due?
  4. 4Find the repair invoice for my car.
  5. 5When was the Audi last serviced?
  6. 6Which warranties expire soon?
  7. 7How much have I spent on the Audi this year? (Vekrin Home)

What Vekrin does

Vekrin looks across current-home records and cites the records behind its answer. Supported changes are shown as a proposal, require explicit confirmation, are checked by the server, and then update the record. A plan can group up to four related changes.

Check

The Assistant cannot delete or archive records, change members, disconnect integrations, alter subscriptions or payments, send evidence or email, make payments, or run bulk destructive actions. If several records match, clarify which one you mean.

What happens next

Open citations to verify an answer. After a supported change, use Undo where it is safely reversible; creating an ownership record is not “undone” by deleting it.

Vekrin Voice

What this does

Vekrin Voice lets you talk to the Assistant instead of typing, hear the answer read back, and ask for supported changes to your Household Record — which Vekrin always shows for confirmation before anything is updated. It is part of Vekrin Home.

How to use it

  1. 1Open the Assistant and choose Start voice conversation.
  2. 2Allow microphone access the first time you use it.
  3. 3Ask a question out loud, or say what you would like changed.
  4. 4Read the written answer, which appears before Vekrin speaks it.
  5. 5For a change, Vekrin finds the record and shows a confirmation card with exactly what will be updated.
  6. 6Confirm or cancel — you can edit supported fields such as a date or an amount first.
  7. 7Vekrin makes the validated change, and offers Undo where the change is safely reversible.

On this screen

  1. 1Vekrin never changes a household record silently: your request, a proposal, your confirmation, a server check, then the change.
  2. 2Confirm with a short spoken yes or no, or tap the buttons on the card. A long sentence is never treated as a confirmation.
  3. 3If more than one record matches — say you own two televisions — Vekrin asks which one you mean instead of guessing.
  4. 4Vekrin can propose a few related changes together, for example a service record, its cost and the new mileage. You see the whole proposal before confirming.
  5. 5Undo is offered where a change is safely reversible.
  6. 6Citations stay on screen and are not read out.
  7. 7Audio is processed for transcription; Vekrin does not store raw voice recordings.

What Vekrin does

You can ask about Inventory, Wardrobe, Jewellery Box, Garage, receipts, documents, warranties, bills, spending, reminders and evidence, and Vekrin answers from the same grounded Assistant with citations. You can also ask for supported everyday changes: create or rename an item, change its room, category or details, move it between Household Inventory, Wardrobe and Jewellery Box, update vehicle mileage, record a service or repair and its cost, set a vehicle reminder, mark a recorded bill as paid or correct its dates and amounts, create or update a warranty and its expiry date, and link a document you already hold to a record. Voice uses the same grounded answers, proposals, confirmation and server validation as typing.

Check

Vekrin Voice is a Vekrin Home feature. On Free the control is visible but asks you to upgrade, and typing keeps working exactly as before.

Check

Sensitive or destructive account actions are not available through Vekrin Voice. It cannot delete records, documents, receipts or photos, change or remove household members, alter your subscription or payments, buy anything, disconnect a connected account, send your evidence to anyone, or change anything on its own.

Tip

Everything Voice can do is also available by typing in the Assistant — the same proposal and confirmation card appears.

Why this matters

Voice never activates on its own and there is no wake word — nothing is captured until you start a conversation. While one is open, your speech is sent securely for transcription, and only the text transcript and answer are kept in your conversation history.

Example

You: “Move my black jacket to Wardrobe.” Vekrin: “Move Black Jacket from Household Inventory to Wardrobe?” with Confirm and Cancel. After you confirm: “Done. Black Jacket is now in Wardrobe.”

What happens next

Choose a female or male voice, playback speed and whether answers play automatically in Settings → Voice.

Memory (internal beta)

What this does

Memory is an optional internal beta that can retain useful personal or household context separately from your household records. It is available only to selected accounts.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Settings and find Memory if it is available.
  2. 2Enable or disable personal memory.
  3. 3If permitted, enable or disable household memory.
  4. 4Review suggestions and choose Remember, Not now or Never.
  5. 5Confirm, edit or forget an individual memory.
  6. 6Open its history to understand why it is present, or clear memories.

What Vekrin does

Every stored memory is visible in Settings with its scope, source, status and history. Personal and household memories are separate, and household writing follows home permissions.

Check

Memory is not the Household Record itself and does not silently rewrite inventory, bills or documents. Review suggestions before choosing Remember.

Check

Internal beta, limited availability: accounts without access do not see the Memory section.

What happens next

Enabled, confirmed context can help future Assistant conversations where the beta is available. Disabling, forgetting or clearing remains under your control.

Household Intelligence

What this does

Household Intelligence analyses the records already in the selected home and surfaces attention signals: missing evidence, incomplete records, approaching warranty or vehicle dates, and organisation gaps.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Intelligence from the navigation.
  2. 2Choose Run analysis when you want a fresh review.
  3. 3Read the household health score and What we noticed cards.
  4. 4Open the records behind an insight and correct the underlying information.
  5. 5Dismiss an insight you do not want to see again.
  6. 6Use the household timeline to revisit purchases, documents, bills and other recorded events.
Vekrin household summaries built from the records in the home.
Real Vekrin screen

On this screen

  1. 1Household health score from recorded completeness.
  2. 2What we noticed cards for actionable gaps and dates.
  3. 3Dismiss controls for signals you no longer want.
  4. 4Household timeline linking back to recorded events.

What Vekrin does

Vekrin produces a health score, explainable insight cards and a timeline from current-home records. It surfaces information for you; it does not autonomously decide, buy, file or change household records.

Check

A low score or attention card means the recorded information could be more complete or a date is approaching. It is not a safety judgement, insurance decision or professional advice.

What happens next

Correct the source record and run analysis again when you want refreshed signals.

Search & notifications

What this does

Search currently finds Inventory items and Garage vehicles in the selected home. Item matching covers identifying details; vehicle matching includes name, make, model, registration and VIN. Notifications surface reminders and updates.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Search from the navigation.
  2. 2Type at least two characters from an item or vehicle.
  3. 3Choose an Inventory or Garage result to open it.
  4. 4Open Notifications to review reminders and updates.
  5. 5Follow a notification to the related record where a link is available.

What Vekrin does

Search returns inventory and vehicle matches from the current home. It does not currently search receipts, documents, bills or warranties. Notifications are generated from supported household dates and status changes.

Check

Switch homes first if the item or vehicle belongs elsewhere. Use the relevant Documents, Receipts, Bills or Warranties area to find those record types.

Example

Example searches: television, Audi, AB12 CDE or part of a VIN.

What happens next

Opening a result takes you to the full record, where you can edit or link it.

Export & sharing

What this does

Vekrin offers purpose-built exports rather than one catch-all file: module CSV/PDF exports where supported, scoped Insurance Packs, a separate Garage Vehicle Record and a JSON account data export. Owners can also create controlled insurer access.

How to use it

  1. 1Open the records you need to export.
  2. 2Choose CSV or PDF where that module supports it.
  3. 3For a general PDF, choose whether to include source evidence; that choice lasts only for the current session.
  4. 4For an Insurance Pack, choose Household Inventory, Wardrobe or Jewellery Box.
  5. 5For a vehicle, open Garage and generate its separate Vehicle Record.
  6. 6For insurer access, choose one home, scope, whether values or pack download are allowed, and an expiry.
  7. 7Review access history and revoke the grant when it is no longer needed.

What Vekrin does

The Insurance Pack always includes available source proof. A Vehicle Record can include identity, mileage, history, due dates, canonical insurance, components, visible costs and optional evidence. Insurer grants are read-only, one-home and owner-controlled.

Check

Review every export before sharing. Vehicles are excluded from Insurance Pack scopes. Price privacy omits hidden monetary fields. JSON account export is for your data and is not a formatted insurance document.

What happens next

Download the file or share the access grant. Expired or revoked insurer access stops while your household records remain private.

Account & settings

What this does

Settings brings together profile, home and household controls, insurer access, language and region, rooms and categories, reminders, billing, usage, installation, Voice, security, connections, privacy and data, plus optional beta settings when available.

How to use it

  1. 1Open More, then Settings.
  2. 2Update profile and home-specific language, region, currency, timezone or units.
  3. 3Manage household members, price privacy, insurer access, rooms and categories if your role permits.
  4. 4Review usage for homes, inventory, documents, vehicles, monthly scans and Assistant actions, email capabilities and pooled storage.
  5. 5Manage reminders, Voice, connections, installation, billing and security.
  6. 6Download a JSON account export when you need a copy.
  7. 7To delete the account, read the consequences and type DELETE exactly.

What Vekrin does

Settings shows plan and storage usage with approaching-limit warnings. Owner-only controls stay unavailable to other roles. Account deletion removes uploaded files, photos and account-owned household data permanently.

Check

Home archive, permanent home deletion, leaving a home and deleting the whole account are different actions. Export first, confirm the active home and read every destructive confirmation carefully.

What happens next

Ordinary settings apply immediately. Archived homes can be restored; permanently deleted homes and accounts cannot.
