The agreement between you and Vekrin: what you can expect, and what we expect of you.

These terms apply when you use Vekrin at vekrin.app. Please read them — they are deliberately short and plain.
Vekrin is currently in private beta. The operating entity is being formalised, so these terms do not yet include a governing-law clause; nothing in them affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Vekrin account and you must give accurate account information. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.
A household has an owner and may have other members. The owner controls the household, can invite and remove people, and can delete the household's data. Members can see and change household content according to their role, so only invite people you trust with that information.
If you invite someone, you are responsible for having a reasonable basis to share other people's information with them.
Your photographs, documents and records remain yours. You give Vekrin only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store, process, back up, display and export your content, and to send it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy for the features you use, such as receipt extraction.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Vekrin does not verify it.
The Vekrin software, design, name and logo belong to us. Using the service does not transfer any of those rights to you.
Vekrin is in beta. Features may change, be added, or be withdrawn, and faults may occur. Please check important information that Vekrin has extracted or generated before you rely on it.
Beta status does not reduce our data protection or consumer obligations.
Where you connect Gmail or sign in with Google, that service's own terms apply to your relationship with Google. Vekrin requests read-only mailbox access and cannot send, change or delete your messages. You can disconnect at any time.
Where you sign in with or connect Login with Amazon, Amazon's own terms apply to your relationship with Amazon. Vekrin receives only basic identity and profile information, never your Amazon orders, purchases or payment details, and you can disconnect at any time.
Vekrin uses automated extraction and AI to read receipts and invoices, suggest categories, produce insights and answer questions. These outputs are suggestions and can be wrong; they are not professional financial, legal or insurance advice.
An Insurance Inventory Pack organises the information you supplied. It is not a valuation, not an insurance policy, and no insurer is obliged to accept it. See the Insurance & evidence disclaimer.
We aim to keep Vekrin available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and maintenance happens. You can export your household data at any time, and we recommend keeping your own copy of anything critical.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings; see the Data & account deletion page for exactly what happens. We may suspend or end access where these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, where required by law, or to protect the service and other users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.
We take reasonable care to provide the service described here. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by information you entered incorrectly, or for an insurer's or third party's decision. We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Vekrin is not currently charging for the service and paid plans cannot be purchased. Before any paid plan goes live we will publish subscription, cancellation and refund terms and make them clear at the point of purchase.
If something is wrong, email support@vekrin.app and we will look into it. If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the product and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the new version.
